Good Morning Hurricanes!

Can you believe we are approaching our last swim meet of the season before divisionals? Time has sure flown by! Our meet will be this Saturday, June 21^st against Inwood Hollow. The address for the pool is 1 Grants Lake, 78248. Parking is limited. The parking lot entrance closest to the pool will be blocked off. Parking is available along the interior streets adjacent to the pool area. Parking on Grants Lake is not allowed on the West side of the street. Please be mindful of the neighbors and do not block driveways.

Plan on arriving at 7:10 – caps, googles, sunscreen, and marked with events – ready to get in the pool for 7:15-7:45 warm up. Meet will start promptly at 8:00.

S&T JUDGE MEETINGS AND TIMER MEETING WITH REFEREE will be approx. at 7:45.

COACHES NEED TO KNOW BY WEDNESDAY, June 18^th, IF YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE AT THE MEET THIS SATURDAY. Your swimmer will be included on the roster unless told otherwise.

If you know that your child will not be at this Saturday's meet, MAKE SURE TO DECLARE HIS/HER ABSENCE on the website by this Wednesday - midnight by following the steps below:

You must do 2 things if your swimmer WILL NOT BE AT A MEET: Here are the keystroke by keystroke instructions to follow if your swimmer will NOT be at a meet:

Number 1: Log into the team’s site (https://hunterscreek.swimtopia.com/login)to “declare” his/her absence: log in, click on “Schedule” tab, then “Swim Meets and Events”, then click on the green “meet entry” box for the meet your child(ren) will miss, click on “edit” and use the drop down menu to declare your swimmer(s) as “not attending”.

Number 2: Let the coach know – either at practice or via email @ [email protected]

Please note that if we enter your child in a meet, but then he/she doesn't participate, there's a fairly lengthy "trickle down" effect, as meet volunteers are forced to make last minute changes to heat and lane assignments and relays - this affects both teams and often delays the start of the meet, so PLEASE let us know if your child won't be there!

LAST MINUTE CHANGES IN AVAILABILITY- If something comes up and your child will NOT be at the meet, please email us as soon as possible at [email protected] so heat/lane/event assignments can be adjusted accordingly.

CONCESSIONS: Cash & Venmo is accepted! Inwood Hollow will have a variety of concessions including breakfast tacos, donuts, muffins, fruit along with a variety of drinks. FYI: Concessions will not be accepting bills larger than $20.

SEATING AREA: Parents bring your folding chairs. Below is a picture of where we will be sitting. Please make sure your swimmers and children stay out of the pool on the side of us.

VOLUNTEERS: These swim meets can only happen if we have parent volunteers that fulfill their 3-shift duty. We have had several shifts that are signed up for and then end up being a no-show come swim meet. This creates chaos for our volunteer coordinator as he is having to find last-minute parents to cover those shifts. If you have questions about your volunteer commitment at this meet and/or need to change/cancel your commitment, please contact Kaidan Nguyen at [email protected] or 210-580-6649 as they will have to quickly determine who will be your replacement.
