Good Morning Hurricanes and Happy Monday!

We are less than a week away from our Hurricane KICK-OFF PARTY! As a reminder the party is from 5-7 pm, May 4th which includes time for a New Parent Orientation. The parent committee will also be there so you can put a name with a face. There will be swimming, food, music, and fun for the entire family (lifeguards will be present). Please remember to bring your own drinks. Important: make sure to RSVP here: Swim Meets and Events - Hunters Creek Hurricanes (swimtopia.com) by Friday, May 2^nd (midnight), so we can get an accurate count of people to get food for.

Also, practice starts MAY 5^th. Here are the practice times for each age group:

Practice times: Monday-Thursday (May 1 - June 27)

Ages 5-6: 5:00-5:30pm

Ages 7-8: 5:00-6:00

Ages 9-12: 6:00-7:00

Ages 13 Up: 7:00-8:00

REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN!!!! If you know of anyone interested in swim club, please have them join our team! Let them know how fun it is for the entire family and how cool we are!

Another reminder (I know, a lot of reminders), Swim Freak will be on deck so you can check out the swim gear for this season. Please note your child cannot be wet if you want to try on a swimsuit. LAST DAY TO ORDER T-SHIRTS & YARDSIGNS WILL BE MAY 7^TH! This will ensure the items will be available by the Mock Meet.

We are still looking for a Meet Entry/Scorer & Meet Manager.

Meet Entry - We currently have one parent who is responsible for the meet entry & scorer position, but we do need someone else to assist her and learn the responsibility so when she wraps up her time as a parent committee volunteer, we can have someone trained in that role. It's also great to have two parents for these two roles.

Meet Manager - you are only responsible for the two home meets to ensure everything is aligned and set up to race!

The great thing about volunteering as a parent committee member is that it fulfills your 3-time volunteer obligation! Please reach out if you have any questions.
